Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – November 24th, 2020
(2 Timothy 2:13)…..If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
I have walked with God for over many years, as maybe you have also. And together we can say, “It has not been easy.” But we as Christians can all say from experience, that God is faithful! Oh, We have failed Him many times, but He has never failed us! God has always taken care of us in every way that could be imagined. He has stuck with us through all kinds of things, always comforting us and pushing us towards His call on in our lives. Even in those times when we were not trying to follow Him as closely as we should, we can see that He was protecting us and helping us. We can all say we have not been perfect people. We have made many mistakes. We have wasted a lot of time and opportunities when it comes to being witnesses for Him. We have done a lot of wrong things. But God has never failed to be perfect!
Even now as I write this I am overwhelmed by the astounding faithfulness of God! To think that the perfect Almighty God would love us (me) and care for us (me) so faithfully, one so unworthy, is beyond comprehension. I must add that the precious blood of Jesus has made me, and you, worthy in God’s sight, but it was nothing we did to deserve God’s love and grace. It was a pure gift!
(Deuteronomy 7:9)…..“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
God is so good!
(Psalm 36:5)…..Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
The wonderful thing is that God loves us!. He wants to be more than your God, to also be your Friend and Helper, your companion, your love.
(1 Corinthians 1:9 ESV)…..God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
If you don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ and have never experienced His faithfulness towards the He loves, then I beg you, for your own good, trust in Jesus Christ completely. Turn your life over to Him. Believe His Word! Walk with Him. It is the way of true abundant life.
