I want to remind you this morning that much like the Psalmist, when you are at your end, at the bottom, in your lowliest state, without any hope, when you cried out to God in repentance to restore you and save you, that’s exactly what God did. God redeemed you for His sake. He did it by Himself (1 Peter 1:18-19) (Ephesians 1:7-10). He did it for Himself – (Titus 2:11-14)
The elements of Christ’ atonement are seen in…….
- The blood sacrificed – (Hebrews 9:13-22)
- The guilt transferred – (2 Corinthians 5:21)
- Forgiveness granted – Colossians 1:14
- Righteousness granted – (Romans 3:7-11)
- Justification established – (Romans 3:24-25)
- Access to God gained – (Hebrews 4:14-16)
- Eternal redemption secured – (Hebrews 9:11-12)
After seeing all this in the Scriptures, how ought the believer to be?
- Has He restored you? – Has His face shone on you? – Has the Lord saved you?
- If you can answer yes to those three questions then you have everything to praise the Lord for
- Read: (Jeremiah 9:23-24)
