How Should We Walk As Christians?

Posted on October 27, 2021October 27, 2021
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – October27th, 2021

Good morning Christians! At least, that is who I want to address this morning. I thought it would be good to point out just what God wants from His saints today.

We ought to walk in the light – (1 John 1:5-10)

  • Light represents what is pure – what is true – what is holy – what is reliable
  • Light exposes the wickedness of sin (darkness)
  • If we want to have fellowship with God – we must be cleansed (put away) the practice of sin in our lives
  • Read: (Ephesians 5:1-21)

b. We ought to walk to please God – (sexually)

  • Sexual standards are very low in our society these days
  • More and more people find nothing wrong with engaging in sexual conduct outside of marriage – even within today’s religions
  • Read: (1 Thessalonians 4:1-8) (1 Corinthians 6:9-20)
  • How are we to deal with such behavior?
  • Read: (1 Corinthians 5:9-13) and as shared earlier (Ephesians 5:3-7)

c. We ought to walk worthy of the calling

  • Read: (Ephesians 4:1-3) (1 Thessalonians 2:12)
  • We are to walk worthy of the name “Christian”
  • People are watching the way we live – can they see Christ in us?
