Hi all,
(Matthew 11:19)….. “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,`Look, a gluttonous man and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’. . . .Jesus had trouble with the religious leaders of His day, because He was a friend of sinners. Jesus is the same today. He never changes. Jesus is your friend. (Luke 19:7)…..But when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” Religious people couldn’t understand how Jesus could love a sinner — they certainly did not. But Jesus did, and He still
does.
Notice what Jesus said to the woman caught in the act of adultery.
(John 8:11)…..She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
Jesus does not condemn you for your sin. He understands. He came to earth and lived in a human body just as you do. Jesus knows the pressure you face. He knows the pain. And Jesus cares. He cares enough to help you be free of the sin; because He knows that sin will destroy you.
Sin may give a temporary pleasure, but in the end sin always destroys. Jesus loves you so much, remember that as you begin the week. Let’s not sin.
