God knows those who are His. He knows if we belong to Him or not. He knows all of our thoughts, all of our past, all of our hopes, all of our ambitions. The truth be told, He knows us better than we know ourselves. We do not need to worry that our Father in heaven will ever stop loving us (Romans 8:37-39) because He knows each of us personally, as a father knows his own child (John 10:14). King David understood this (Psalm 139:1-4)
Think about this, what has God done for His children, those who are the recipients of His grace and mercy, you know, me and you? Our Father takes special care to assure you and me that He will always love and care for us. He assures us that we have been called by (Galatians 1:1-4) (2 Timothy 1:8-11) (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14). He made us holy, without blame, in His presence (Colossians 1:21-22). Every time I read that verse I am overwhelmed with the thought that He has allowed us to know Him (John 17:3) (1 John 5:18-21).
One of the most powerful things about the love the Father has for His children is that it is unconditional. We do not earn His love, rather He has purposed to love us, even before we belonged to Him. Do you mean from all eternity? Yes I mean from all eternity (Romans 5:6-8). We deserved condemnation and judgment, because we are guilty of breaking His law and falling short of His glory (Romans 3:10-12) (Romans 6:23). But because the Father loves us, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ was sent for our salvation (Luke 19:10) (1 Timothy 1:15). What a way for our Father to say He loves us. Thank-you my King and my Lord!
