The power of darkness resides the realm of Satan. Darkness implies not only absence of light, but opposition to the light. Opposition to what is true and pure and wholesome, that is, the things of God. Darkness is not only a condition of being without light, spiritually speaking, it is to be without God and opposed to God. There is nothing man can do by himself to escape the power of darkness because mankind is a slave to sin, and sin is disobedience to the will of God (1 John 3:4) (Romans 6:23). However, when one obeys the gospel by believing it, God puts that individual immediately into the kingdom the Son of His love, and seals him/her for redemption (Ephesians 1:11-14) (Ephesians 2:1-13). God has intervened by sending his Son to die for your sins (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Christians need to be thankful that God has delivered us from the power of darkness. Yet, satan will still tempt us, but he doesn’t have the power to make Christians obey Him (James 4:7-10). Christians should be very glad about that, and they need to be thankful that God has delivered us from the power of darkness.
(Colossians 1:14) – says…….“in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Redeem means to buy back, so only God can redeem us from sins, you and I can’t, nobody can only God. He does so through Jesus (Hebrews 9:12). Did you catch that? The redemption price that was paid was not anything relating to money, but the redemption price was the precious blood of Jesus. How important is the blood of Jesus to mankind? How important should it be in your life? It Is Vital.
The Blood Of Jesus Brings Redemption (1 Peter 1:19) (Titus 2:11-14). It also brings the removal of sin (Hebrews 9:14). What is the effect of Christ’s blood applied to the consciences of sinful people? Well, they are not just freed from sin, but also its guilt (dead works), allowing for the one who is washed to live a life in service to God. But for the agent to be effective, one must come in contact with it. Where does one come in contact with the blood of Christ? At the cross (Revelation 1:5). God would not allow His Son to shed His life blood and then provide no means for mankind to contact that blood in some way. Because it is that blood that brings us near to God (Ephesians 2:11-13).
