I was reading in Psalm 111 this morning, and thanking Him for what the text says of Him. It says in (v.2) “The works of the LORD are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them.” That is such an awesome verse. So in that thinking I want to spend a moment this morning sharing with you how awesome He is. Here are a few things to meditate on today.
a. God is eternal – no beginning – no end
- He is from everlasting (Psalm 93)
- He is to everlasting (Psalm 90:1-2)
- He is the “I AM“ (Exodus 3:13 -15) (John 18:1-6)
b. He is immutable (He does not change)
- He is without turning (James 1:17)
- He does not change His character (Psalm 111)
- His purpose does not change (Job 23:13-14)
c. He is Holy (righteous) in all…..
- His ways and works (Psalm 145:17)
- His words (Psalm 33:1-9)
d. God is immovable – unshakeable in His character
- Read: (2 Samuel 22:47) (Psalm 18:31) *(Psalm 31:3)
- An unchanging – immovable – Rock (Romans 9:30-33)
- Because He is unchanging – immovable – unshakeable – His promises never change (Hebrews 6:13-20)
e. This is our God!
