Because of God’s mercy David can rejoice in God’s salvation, a salvation that is not earned, but given by a merciful God. Offered while we were still sinners, ungodly, and enemies of God (Romans 5:6-8). Not because we love God, but because He loved us! (1 John 4:9-10). And it is offered to all who will receive it (Revelation 21:6) (Revelation 22:17).
