Paul’s conscience bore witness to the fact that he prayed for Timothy night and day without ceasing. What great love we see here of one brother for another, to take the time daily to pray. This needs to be our agenda, so we do not sin against God (1 Samuel 12:19-23). It is God’s will for us to pray without ceasing (Romans 12:9-13) (Ephesians 6:17-18) (Colossians 4:2) (1 Thessalonians 5:17). How can we possible pray without ceasing?
- Establish some set times to pray – consider….
- David – (Psalm 55:16-17)
- Daniel – (Daniel 6:10)
- At the very least, find time each day to spend in prayer
- We need to have times of spontaneous prayer also
- At any moment – we should be ready to call on God in prayAnd why should we strive to pray without ceasing?
- Because of the privilege of prayer made possible by Jesus
- Read: (Hebrews 4:14-16)
