God is looking for fat men to use. Do you qualify? God wants men who are Faithful, Able, and Teaching. This morning lets address the faithful attribute that God wants in men. Just as the Lord Himself was faithful – and as Moses was faithful – (Hebrews 3:1-6). Just as Paul himself was counted faithful – (1 Timothy 1:12) (1 Corinthians 7:25). These are men whom the Lord can trust and depend on – (Luke 16:10-12). Men, has the Lord counted you faithful to Himself?
God wants men who are faithful to His word (Scriptures). Men who hold fast the pattern of sound words in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus – (2Timothy 1:13), continuing in the things one has learned – (2 Timothy 3:14) (Psalm 1:2) (Psalm 119:11) (Psalm 119:97,113,167) (Colossians 3:16-17). In doing so you will be faithful in your marriage, in your promises, in your employment, etc. These are men who love and preach the truth of God and practice what they preach.
God wants men who are faithful in things such as….
- Their prayer life – (Philippians 4:6) – such as Epaphras – (Colossians 4:12)
- Their marriage – the covenant that was made
- Their church body – not just in a universal sense – but in the fellowship God has placed us
- Men – how we doing here?
