There is no other God but one! What does that mean (should mean) to the believer in Jesus Christ (Deuteronomy 4:33-39) (Deuteronomy 6:4)? God is not “the boss” – not the “big man upstairs” – not “your bud” or “your pal” – not a “celestial bell hop” – not a “slot machine” – not a “genie” – not anything or anyone you or I can bring down to our level. God is not an unknown – for He has clearly revealed Himself through the things He has created – instead – He is mis-known by many
Who or what is God like? Now I cannot stand here and tell you all about God – for He is far above me – it is impossible for my finite mind to totally understand a infinite God (Psalm 145:1-3) (Isaiah 55:8-9).
What are some things God’s Word tells us about Himself?
- He is unchanging – (Numbers 23:19) (James 1:17) (Hebrews 13:8)
- He is omnipresent – (2 Chronicles 6:18) (Psalm 139:7-8)
- He is omniscient – (Psalm 147:5)
- He is omnipotent – (Jeremiah 32:17)
This all present, all knowing, all powerful God has made Himself ACCESSIBLE through His only begotten Son – Jesus Christ
