How important is cleanliness to you? What if you were in a place where you haven’t bathed or showered for days, weeks, even years? Imagine how you would feel. Imagine how putrid the smell would be. Imagine how disease ridden one might get. Wouldn’t you do anything possible to get clean? What if someone came along and offered to make you clean, would you jump at the prospect? One might be clean outside, but we are all filthy sinners on the inside that need to be cleansed, and given new clothing. There is only one way to make ourselves clean, and that is in believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you clean? Has Christ washed away your sin?
Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!” In other words make me completely clean. Is that what you want today? Do you wanna be clean? Then come to Christ and let him wash away your sin.
