(Psalm 86:10)…..“For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God.” What a verse to start the morning with. When anyone commences an important work, he/she takes time and gives his/her attention to consider the greatness of his/her undertaking. Men of science, in studying nature, require years of labor to grasp the magnitude of the sun and the other heavenly bodies. And is not our glorious God worthy that we should take time rightly to know and adore His greatness? Yet how superficial is our knowledge of God’s greatness. …

Oh I am so grateful for the grace of God, because we could not be saved without it. In the Scriptures – God’s grace is described as all-abundant (Romans 5:19-20), and glorious (Ephesians 1:6). Wow! Just ponder for a moment how the Scriptures describe that grace. When we realize that God does not owe us anything (as a matter of fact what we deserve is eternal damnation and destruction) and yet He pours out His grace on us, it should bring us to our knees in praise (Romans 3:23) …

The word redemption means a releasing effected by payment of ransom, or deliverance as a result of the payment of a ransom. Therefore redemption implies emancipation from the guilt, punishment, and power of sin (John 8:34-36) (Romans 7:24-25) (Galatians 3:13-14). Our redemption is only through God’s grace and Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:29-31), and the benefits for you and I in being redeemed by Jesus Christ are….

1. Forgiveness – (Colossians 1:14)
2. Justification – (Romans 3:24-25)
3. Adoption – (Galatians 4:4-5)
4. Eternal Inheritance – (Hebrews 9:13-15)

Wow! This is great news …

There is one God! James reminds his reader’s that to believe this they do well. A truth they would have known (Deuteronomy 6:4-5). To get their (our) attention James reminds them (us) that even demons (fallen angles) have a kind of faith in God. They believe there is a God who is Sovereign over all things. They believe in the deity of Christ (Mark 3:7-12) (Mark 5:1-7). They believe in the existence of a place of condemnation (Luke 8:26-31). They believe Jesus will be the Judge (Matthew 8:28-29)…

Have you ever wondered what a real Christian delights in. I’m not talking about those who profess to be Christian by name, but none of their life reflects that proclimation. Rather, the real Christian who loves the Lord, follows Jesus Christ, and obeys Him, who’s delight is in the word of God. (Psalm 1)…..But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. That word delight there is amazing, it is translated, longing, good pleasure, that in which one takes delight …

(Psalm 1)…..How blessed is the man that walketh not in the council of the ungodly. Walketh (walks) speaks of one’s lifestyle, whoever this person is, he/she is blessed if he is not walking as a habit of life in the council of the ungodly. That asks the question, who are the ungodly (wicked)?

1. They look for evil – (Proverbs 16:27)
2. They want to distort the grace and existence of God – (Jude 3-4) 

What is the council of the ungodly? – The word – council – means – the advice or …

Where does one go for help when everything around him seems against him and falling apart? We know the answer to this, but it is not always our first recourse (not usually anyway). We should always go to God in prayer, much like we see in David (Psalm 4:1) (Psalm 5:1-3) (Psalm 17:1-2,6) (Psalm 38:15). What evidence do we have that a resurrection actually happened?

Empty Tomb – Christianity is the only major religion in the world, where the faithful do not have a grave to make pilgrimages to. We have only an empty tomb where our Lord’s grave once was. Hallelujah, Lord Jesus Christ is Risen!!!

Angelic testimony – The angel of the Lord was a witness to the Lord Jesus Christ’s resurrection, and moved the stone from the tomb to open it. He announced to Mary that Christ had risen from the dead – …

The name “Jesus” actually means “the Lord saves” or “the Lord is a Savior.” So, when we say “Jesus” we are actually saying “Savior.” The two words are synonymous. The angel told Joseph what to name the Son born to his wife Mary, and the reason for that particular name, Jesus: because He will save. We could say, “Savior, because He will save.”

Being the Savior is integral to Jesus’ nature. That’s what He is. Not just something that He does. He IS, by His very nature, Savior. But we are …
