You, Yourself are to be feared – (76:7). Asaph thought of the importance of giving honor and reverence to the great God, who is to be feared above all things. “Who may stand in Your presence when once You are angry”. Our respect and reverence to God should go beyond just admiration of His greatness. It is also connected to our knowledge of His righteousness, His power, and His authority as Judge. When God rises to judgment, to deliver the oppressed of the earth, God uses His righteous might, not …

Do You Know The Lord?
Here is a small study for us on “knowing” our Lord, so enjoy your study.
One can have knowledge of God, and not know Him (John 8:19). Early Christians were persecuted because the world didn’t “know” God (John 15:18-21) (John 16:1-3). Saul (Paul) had knowledge about God but he didn’t “know” God while he was persecuting the church (1 Timothy 1:12-14). Jesus came to reveal God to man that we might know Him (John 1:18). So knowing the God of Scripture is very important because knowing God is to have …
What Do We Really Need?
Pride leads us to think we deserve all that we can see and touch, as a result there are some who become greedy in their prayer life, and never really find out what they truly need. What we really need is God Himself! God’s grace is much more powerful than the pull of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Certainly, He helps us to stand against such things (Romans 5:18-21) (1 Timothy 1:12-17). But to those who receives His grace? Notice, He resists the proud, but gives grace …
Is Jesus your Lord?
(Philippians 2 2:9-11)…..9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Anybody can say they speak for God, but how does one know if it is a valid message from Him. Does he/she claim that Jesus is …
Come After Me
(Matthew 16:24-25)…..Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Come After Me – When Jesus said these words, His disciples probably remembered when He first called them to follow Him, when they had left everything to follow Jesus. They had left family, friends, occupations, everything in their lives in order to …
Extol The Lord!
I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me. 2 O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. 3 O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. 4 Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. 5 For His anger is but for a moment, His …
Jonah’s Cry For Help
Just to refresh our thinking, Jonah had been called upon by God to go preach salvation to the city of Nineveh, but he refused. He was traveling in the opposite direction of the way God had desired in his life. We all may go the wrong way for sometime in our life, but the wrong way is always a dead end. The consequence for Jonah’s rebellion was that he would be cast into the deep, by God Himself (2:3). Notice, Jonah cried out to the Lord (2:2), and …
The Redemption Of Jesus Christ
Redeem means to buy back. in the Christian world it is only God who can redeem us from sins. That’s the truth, you and I can’t, nobody can, only God can redeem us from our sin’s. He does so through Jesus (Hebrews 9:12). Did you catch that? The redemption price that was paid was not anything relating to money, but the redemption price was the precious blood of Jesus Himself.
How important is the blood of Jesus to mankind? How important should it be in your life? It Is Vital!…
A Plea To Pilgrims
Having said that as Christians we are…..a “chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special people. Peter makes a heart-felt plea concerning our conduct before those in the world (1 Peter 2:11-12). As we consider this “plea to pilgrims”, remember that Peter is speaking by inspiration; i.e., it is actually GOD who is making this plea!
Before we examine the plea itself, let’s notice some things mentioned in the passage that serve as
I. THE BASIS OF THE PLEA
A Christian, one who believes on Jesus Christ, …
The Rock Of My Refuge
I want you to notice what the Psalmist says in (Psalm 94:22)…..But the LORD has been my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge. Many people have experienced a time when they have fought with, or had contention with someone else, whether it has been physical, spiritual, or emotional. A time when we have felt as if we were being overwhelmed by our adversary. This is how David felt in (Psalm 35) where David is hurting, in despair, and troubled over his enemies constant attacks. But David in …
