There are so many false religions, and false teachers in our world today. So many cults hadarkness where we formerly walked, where we too were dead in our trespasses and sins. Let’s begin by reading (Psalms 111:2)…..”The works of the Lord are great, Studied by all who have pleasure in them. When I think on the great works of God, I think about the power He has to do them. I think about where our Lord has shown such a great power where it would concern us. Think about these great works of God…….the works of the LORD are great, and they are many, so let me just speak to a few of them.

I. HIS CREATION

Notice, the Psalmist tells us that it is not only good to give thanks to the LORD, but also to sing praises to His name, Most High. His name Most High (Hebrew: ‘Elyon) means, lofty, the Supreme, the Upper Most, the One who owns everything. Singing praises is becoming of God’s people, just consider the attitude …

“It is good to give thanks to the LORD.” There is much to be thankful for – *life, *health, *food clothing, *air – *water housing, *income – *etc. But more importantly – *calling – repentance – redemption – salvation – justification – sanctification – the hope of heaven – assurance of salvation – etc. It is “GOOD” – the effect of giving thanks to LORD – is that it tends to a happy life – a life of contentment – a life of happiness – and a life of peace. …

 It is important that you and I have good examples to follow, men and women who are dependable, knowledgeable in the word, solid in the faith. Who enjoy a wonderful relationship with God (Philippians 4:8-9). Who remain steadfast in their walk (2 Corinthians 4:16-18). Who is it that should be an example worth following?

2. Such as Timothy (1 Timothy 4:12-16)

4. Those who shepherd the flock of God

What is it that awaits the righteous (the believer)? An inheritance that is said to be ours – intended for us – (Acts 20:32) (Galatians 3:18) (Colossians 3:24)  (Hebrews 9:13-15) (1 Peter 1:3-5).
