Does God Care?

Posted on July 29, 2020July 29, 2020

Morning Devotions With Pastor Dan – July 29th, 2020.

Does God really care about me? – Does God really understand what I am going through in my life? – Is God really there? – Can I really trust Him? These are questions we might hear in today’s world from people who are looking for help and hope. There are many things in this world which people put their trust in or get their security from, the sad thing is that most, if not all, of what the world derives their trust and security from will fail them. As a child …

A MAN AFTER GOD’S HEART

Posted on July 28, 2020July 28, 2020

Morning Devotions With Pastor Dan July 28th, 2020

(1 Samuel 13:13-14)…..And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.”

In Paul’s sermon at Antioch, in which he briefly recounts the history of …

Does Jesus Know Me?

Posted on July 27, 2020July 27, 2020

Morning Devotions With Pastor Dan – 7-26-2020

(Matthew 7:21-23)…..“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

This verse out of Matthew’s Gospel has always been one of the most fearful verses to me as I have studied the Scriptures through the …

Yes – I’ve Read (John 3:16)

Posted on July 23, 2020July 23, 2020

There is a Bible verse that most everyone knows or has at least heard it some time in their life. Yes, you guessed it, it is (John 3:16). This morning I just want to break down this verse a little bit.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

GOD SO LOVED – The word “so” often denotes intensity. For instance, a man may say to his wife, “I love you sooooo much,” as he wishes to express the measure …

Crucified With Christ

Posted on July 22, 2020July 22, 2020

Morning Devotions With Pastor Dan – July 22, 2020

I have been looking at Paul’s life all week, and the things that he tells the believers in Galatia about the gospel and the state of his old nature as he lives for Christ. That he has been crucified with Christ. Just look how Paul says this in…..

(Galatians 2:20)…..I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave …

Not Forsaken

Posted on July 21, 2020July 21, 2020

July 21st, 2020

What a promise we have that the Lord will never leave us or forsake us. It sure is comforting to know that truth. But how many know this?

(Deuteronomy 31:8 NASB)…..”And the LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear, or be dismayed.”

God’s promise is He will never leave us or forsake us. Yet we may sometimes feel hopeless and helpless — like we are facing life all alone. Regardless of the circumstances, or how you feel, remember that …

The Christian Walk

July 20th, 2020

When we take a moment to look back over our lives – we can see that God has been faithful to us in everything. Oh, it may have been difficult at times, but He is more than faithful to those who are His. I hope that you too can testify to the Lord’s faithfulness. His word declares His faithfulness to you – (Numbers 23:19) (Deuteronomy 32:4) (Psalm 33:4) (Isaiah 41:10) (1 John 1:9) (1 Corinthians 1:3-9) (Philippians 1:6) (2 Timothy 2:13)

His faithfulness does give us a sense of comfort – and great security – but it …

Don’t Fall For It!

Posted on July 17, 2020July 17, 2020

July 17th, 2020

We live in crazy times! One can’t turn on the tv or the radio for news and find a lot of truth coming through the program. It seems that we have been lied to daily by our government politicians and the press. But in all of this mass chaos, One sits on the throne who is both King and Lord. Yes, I am talking about the Lord Jesus Christ. He sits as the only Potentate that there is. There is no other One that we ought to love and serve. However, we are in times where many …

You Don’t Want This Payday

Posted on July 16, 2020July 16, 2020

July 16th, 2020

Everybody likes to be paid for their labor! You work hard and you expect to be compensated for what you have done. And in our culture, if you have done your job well, you would expect to be well rewarded. Yet there is one thing you and I don’t want to be paid for and that is “sin.” And the wages for sin is “death.”

Sin will kill you. If you practice sin, it will pay you by destroying you.

(Romans 6:23)…..For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life …

Delighting In The Lord

Posted on July 15, 2020July 15, 2020

What is it that you delight in? Is it sports? Is it work? Is it people? Is it some hobby you like? Just what is it that drives your passion? Maybe you can say it is the Lord Himself that delights your soul. I hope that is the case, after all isn’t that the way it is supposed to be?

(Matthew 22:37-38)…..Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.

(Psalm 37:4)…..Delight yourself also in the LORD, …
