Studying God’s Word As If Our Life Depended On It

Posted on July 31, 2020July 31, 2020

Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan – July 31st, 2020

Studying the Bible is one of the most important things we should do daily as disciples of Jesus Christ. It is amazing that we can know so much information and statistics on sports, movies, news, etc. and yet not know much about Scripture. Just think of the time our culture spends on social media compared to our time in the Word of God. Think about our busy lives, that most of the time works against us having any quality time in Scripture

(2 Timothy 2:15)…..Be diligent to present yourself approved to …

God Is Working

Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan – July 30th, 2020

Habakkuk was a contemporary of Jeremiah and was written probably between 609 and 605 BC – a time of major upheaval. Assyria, the major world power that had destroyed the northern kingdom of Israel about one hundred years previously had fallen, and the Babylonians (Chaldean’s) were beginning to look threatening. The southern kingdom of Judah has had a mixture of good and bad kings, and are now filled with corruption. Writing fifteen to twenty years before Habakkuk in about 625 BC, Jeremiah assesses the state of his country (Jeremiah 5:26-29). …

Does God Care?

Posted on July 29, 2020July 29, 2020

Morning Devotions With Pastor Dan – July 29th, 2020.

Does God really care about me? – Does God really understand what I am going through in my life? – Is God really there? – Can I really trust Him? These are questions we might hear in today’s world from people who are looking for help and hope. There are many things in this world which people put their trust in or get their security from, the sad thing is that most, if not all, of what the world derives their trust and security from will fail them. As a child …

A MAN AFTER GOD’S HEART

Posted on July 28, 2020July 28, 2020

Morning Devotions With Pastor Dan July 28th, 2020

(1 Samuel 13:13-14)…..And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.”

In Paul’s sermon at Antioch, in which he briefly recounts the history of …

Does Jesus Know Me?

Morning Devotions With Pastor Dan – 7-26-2020

(Matthew 7:21-23)…..“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

This verse out of Matthew’s Gospel has always been one of the most fearful verses to me as I have studied the Scriptures through the …

Concerning Panhandle Health District Order

Posted on July 27, 2020July 27, 2020

The elders of Rathdrum Bible Church have prayerfully reviewed and considered the emergency order issued by Panhandle Health District which requires the wearing of face masks where social distancing is not possible. We believe that by God’s grace and provision we are able to conduct regular worship services within our facilities without the use of masks simply by following the social distancing protocols. Therefore the main sanctuary and fellowship hall will be set up in a manner consistent with the social distancing expectations. As a result, it is not a requirement for any in attendance to wear face masks. We …

God’s Word

Posted on July 23, 2020July 23, 2020

Near the end of his life, Luther declared, “All I have done is put forth, preach, and write the Word of God, and apart from this I have done nothing.… It is the Word that has done great things.…I have done nothing; the Word has done and achieved everything.” Elsewhere, he proclaimed, “By the Word, the earth has been subdued; by the Word, the Church has been saved; and by the Word also it shall be reestablished.” Noting Scripture’s foundational place in his own heart, Luther wrote, “No matter what happens, you should say: There is God’s Word. This is my …

Yes – I’ve Read (John 3:16)

Posted on July 23, 2020July 23, 2020

There is a Bible verse that most everyone knows or has at least heard it some time in their life. Yes, you guessed it, it is (John 3:16). This morning I just want to break down this verse a little bit.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

GOD SO LOVED – The word “so” often denotes intensity. For instance, a man may say to his wife, “I love you sooooo much,” as he wishes to express the measure …
