This morning we are still looking at (2 Timothy 2:1-2). God is looking for fat men to use. Do you qualify? God wants men who are Faithful, Able, and Teaching. This morning let’s address the “Teaching” attribute that God wants in men. God wants men who can teach His word to others. But first we need to be men who prepare ourselves. Men who do not wait for others to teach them, but study themselves to show themselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15) (1 Timothy 4:13-16). Men we ought to …
Men Are You Fat? (pt.2)
This morning we are still looking at (2 Timothy 2:1-2). God is looking for fat men to use. Do you qualify? God wants men who are Faithful, Able, and Teaching. This morning let’s address the “Able” attribute that God wants in men. Men, you who are husbands, fathers, single, really all of us, we need to be able (competent) men of God, able men who can teach others the word of God (Ezra 7:10) (1 Timothy 3:1-13) (2 Timothy 2:24-25). We are to be men of great uprightness and …
Men Are You Fat?
God is looking for fat men to use. Do you qualify? God wants men who are Faithful, Able, and Teaching. This morning lets address the faithful attribute that God wants in men. Just as the Lord Himself was faithful – and as Moses was faithful – (Hebrews 3:1-6). Just as Paul himself was counted faithful – (1 Timothy 1:12) (1 Corinthians 7:25). These are men whom the Lord can trust and depend on – (Luke 16:10-12). Men, has the Lord counted you faithful to Himself?

Pastor Dan Nickerson preaches from Psalm 119:161-168
Jesus Is Our Savior
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson August 3rd,2023 Matthew 1:21 tells us that Mary would give birth to a son, and they would give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” The name “Jesus” actually means “the Lord saves” or “the Lord is a Savior.” So, when we say “Jesus” we are actually saying “Savior.” The two words are synonyms. The angel told Joseph what to name the son born to his wife Mary — and the reason for that particular name. Jesus: because He will save. We could say, “Savior — because He |
A Vessel Of Honor
(2 Timothy 2:17-21)…..And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor …
The Word of God Demonstrates Deliverance Through Prayer
Study To Show Yourself Approved
When I mention the word study what comes to mind? Is it school, library, detention, boring, cheating, or to much work? There is a culture today being trained in the art of laziness, cheating, menial effort in academia, in the work force, and it all stems from today’s culture and education that teaches the get it quick mindset, the I don’t have to work at it mindset, the I don’t need to study mindset. The sad thing is this attitude has crept into the body of Christ too where the life …
Charge Them
We to need to keep reminding people, both those of the church and those outside the church, that is both the saved and the unsaved, about the truth found in scripture. Even if we (they) may know these truths already, we need to be reminded again and again that truth found in God’s word. And I will do it (we will do it), Lord willing, as long as God allows. Actually, we all should be reminding one another about the faith, and living for Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:12-15). What is …
The Greatness of Prayer
(Isaiah 40:31)…..But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
I preached on Prayer today at RBC, from (Psalm 119:145-152) showing the Psalmist heart in crying out to the Lord. A study of (Psalm 119) will reveal what prayer ought to be in the believers life. Most people look at prayer only as asking God for things. If that defines your prayer life, you are really missing out. …
