(Psalm 107:1)…..“OH, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”

This Psalm is wholly devoted to the praise of God’s mercy. In each of the twenty-six verses of (Psalm 107), we have the expression: “His mercy endures forever.” The Psalmist was full of this glad thought. Our hearts too should be filled with the blessed assurance. The everlasting, unchangeable mercy of God is cause for unceasing praise and thanksgiving. Let us read what is said about God’s mercy in the well known Psalm, (Psalm 103)…

The apostle Paul had such a glorious vision of eternity and heaven that he was in great turmoil over a desire to depart and be with Christ or to remain in the flesh. He realized that there was nothing in this life that offered any comparison to what eternity offered.

(Philippians 1:23-24)…..For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.

(2 Corinthians 5:1-2)…..For we know that if our earthly …

Did you know that the Bible tells you to imitate God? It surely does! We can read in (Ephesians 5:1-2)…..Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, 2 just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

No doubt you have seen a child imitating their parent, their favorite super hero, or actor. Sometimes those being imitated are pleased, but sometimes embarrassed. Just as earthly children imitate their parents, super hero, or favorite actor, …

We Can Do All Things Through Christ

(Philippians 4:13)…..I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We can take those words to the bank! I mean, those words are absolute and true. God often makes statements in the Bible that go against what we feel like, or what it looks like to us at the time. Never the less they are true. God is trying to move us to a higher plane of faith where we depend on Him and not on what we feel like. Others try to evade the issue by saying that a …

How Does Wisdom Start

(Proverbs 9:10)…..”The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. As our Father, He is not going to harm us, but He won’t permanently let us get away with anything, either. While God’s wisdom may cause Him to not always immediately respond to our wrong doing, we can be sure that eventually God will deal with us. We can be confident that we do not have to be afraid of God because He has revealed His nature to us through the …

Knowing God’s Word

April 14th, 2023

The Word of God (Scriptures) have to be a serious part of the Christians life. So much so that we should know what it says (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Christian needs to study it, taste it, digest it, learn it so that you never have opportunity for shame when you handle it. The Bible is our standard for testing everything else that claims to be true (Galatians 1:6-9) (1 Timothy 4:1-5), so it is vital that we know what is in it. God wants to show you what is …

Description Of The Word Of God

Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson
April 13th, 2023

The Word of God has certain characteristics. It is perfect, right, pure and righteous  (Psalm 19:7-8). You would be surprised how many people do not believe that about God’s Word. Yet it is trustworthy (Psalm 111:7-8). It is true (Psalm 119:142, 151, 160) (John 17:17). It is inspired (2 Peter 1:21).

The Word of God has an effect on us because it is living and active  (Hebrews 4:12). It is not just a bunch of words that God threw on paper. It is not just a …

Want To See God? Look To Jesus!

Posted on April 12, 2023April 11, 2023

Do you want to know God? Get acquainted with Jesus through the pages of the Bible. (John 12:44-45)…..Jesus said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. “And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. (John 14:7-10)….”If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known …
