This is the season that we give gifts to those we love. Sometimes we receive gifts we can use, sometimes we don’t. How many spend the days after Christmas taking back things we pretended to enjoy or like? I suppose there are many. Our passage this morning in Isaiah is a prophecy of Christ, illustrating His majestic title and position as the King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s, Who when He entered this world in Bethlehem, was much more than a baby in the manger. In (Genesis 3:15) God declares that from the woman’s seed would come One who would destroy Satan’s work and power. That is precisely what Jesus did (1 John 3:8). So amazing is God’s plan of redemption that God knew the right time for Jesus to be born to accomplish His purpose (Galatians 4:4). From the beginning God began to move an ancestral line which would bring about the birth of Jesus Christ, and we can read of this genealogy of Jesus Christ in (Matthew 1:1-17)(Luke 3:23-38).

The Blood testifies that Jesus set us free from all the curse and made us able to partake of the inheritance of the saints. The Blood testifies that Jesus bought our redemption and set us free from the sin, God’s wrath, and death. And that we who believe the gospel of Jesus Christ are redeemed and forgiven.
