Pastor Dan Nickerson preaches from Psalm 108:1-4
Take a moment and read (Psalm 2). This particular Psalm is a Messianic Psalm, that is, it is a prophesy of Jesus Christ the Messiah, hundreds of years before He was born into this world. This psalm not only spoke powerfully in the day it was written, but it speaks powerfully and prophetically to us as the Church today. Take note of what David said in these verses.
David said….”As for me, I will call upon God. David does not say he will call upon a creature, or on idols, or on a image, on …
Not everyone in Jesus’ day thought He was Who He claimed to be, and it’s the same today. Many thought then that He was nothing more than a nobody, and many feel the same today. Many thought He was an evil man, and many feel the same today. Many thought He was irrelevant to the times, and many feel the same today. Many were unaffected by His words, and many feel His words are meaningless today. In His time on earth Jesus was thought of as nothing more than…….
The Sadducees were wrong about the resurrection, just as it is possible for some people to be wrong about the resurrection today. It can happen so let’s go over a few things concerning the resurrection.
Being a servant of God is a great honor. But not many like the idea of being a servant, especially in the likeness of Jesus who gave Himself, who came to serve. He was foretold to come as the – Suffering Servant (Isaiah 52:13-15). He did not come to be served – but to serve – (Matthew 20:27-28) (Philippians 2:7). Even as our Lord and Master – He is the example the servitude that He desires of His disciple(John 13:12-17). Being a servant of our Lord Jesus …
