It is in the worst of times when I need to TRUST in the Lord Jesus Christ. Actually int the best of times too. My faith needs to be placed squarely on Him and His finished work of redemption. Unlike those who trust in their wealth, in their riches, who even trust in their accomplishments, in their standing, in their own pride, in themselves (Romans 1:18). Man cannot buy his way out of God’s judgment, he cannot buy redemption for himself or his brother. Why is it we are commanded to …
Hang On To Your Confession
Your confession is what you say. The Bible tells you to hang on tight to saying God’s Word.
(Hebrews 10:23)…..Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. God has no reason to tell us to hold fast, or hang on tight, to our confession, unless someone, or something, will be trying to get us to turn loose of it — and say something else.
(Hebrews 3:1)…..Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, …
Proclaim The Lord’s Death Till He Comes
Notice what God’s word says in – (1 Corinthians 11:26), now notice the word proclaim. It is the word (kataggello) – {kat-ang-gel-lo} – it means to declare openly, to declare plainly, to tell out loud. Whenever we share together in the Lord’s Supper we are making a public confession of our faith. We are making an open declaration of salvation, a bold announcement that we believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s supper, by means of symbols for His flesh and blood preaches Jesus Christ …

Why Trust God?
(Psalm 55:3-4)…..Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked; For they bring down trouble upon me, and in wrath they hate me. 4 My heart is severely pained within me, and the terrors of death have fallen upon me. Having enemies can cause many to be afraid. David was certainly afraid at times, but how did he get victory? He put his trust in God, praising His word. The trust of David involved praising His word. David took God’s word and believed His promises, even …
Are You A Fool?
Who is a fool? The word fool describes one who is without wisdom. The Hebrew word for fool is nabal – which describes one who expresses contempt or disgust for worthwhile things, consider – (1 Samuel 25:25) – the husband of Abigail, who was named Nabal – he refused to help David and his men after they had helped him showing foolish and selfish behavior. The fool is one who chooses to act without wisdom in his life (Isaiah 32:5-8) (Proverbs 1:7) (Proverbs 12:15-16) (Proverbs 14:16) (Proverbs 18:2) Ecclesiastes 2:14) (Matthew …
Christ Is Supreme!
The first four verses of Hebrews is one of the most informative sentences relating to Jesus saying: (Hebrews 1:1-4)…..”God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself …
Thank-You Jesus For The Gospel!
It is called….
- The gospel of Christ (1:16) (2 Corinthian 2:12)
- The gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 24:14)
- The gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24)
- The gospel of your salvation (Ephesians 1:13)
- The gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15)
- The mystery of Christ (Ephesians 3:1-7)
- The gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4)
We who have been given the gospel, who have believed its message, are blessed beyond measure. God’s gospel was promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures (1 Peter 1:6-12). God’s gospel concerns …
God’s Word Is Settled
(Psalm 119:89) says…..Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Heaven is not running around trying to figure out the will of God. His Word is settled in Heaven. God surely had enough time before the Bible was written down to make any changes in His plans. Now that He has given His Word, He will keep it and see that it comes to pass. That truth we can take to the bank so to speak. (Mark 13:31) says…..”Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will …
