Being thankful is some thing we all struggle with from time to time, yet being thankful is something God wants from His saints (us) all the time. It is the sense of gratitude, being ready to acknowledge it. It is the sacrifice that should come from our lips (Psalm 116:17) (Hebrews 13:15). God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins, God’s wrath. Righteousness is right standing, or good standing with God. It does not mean human “perfection.” You are righteous because God says you are.
