My People Are Destroyed For Lack!

Posted on January 11, 2022January 10, 2022
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson January 11th,2022

By a lack of what? By lack of knowledge! Just let that sink in for a moment as you are sitting down to read this devotion. How can that happen. Maybe we lack knowledge because we are lazy, maybe its because we are to busy, maybe it is because we just don’t care if we have knowledge or not. People are destroyed for lack of knowledge, even God’s people. What kind of knowledge? The knowledge of God’s word that is available in the Bible. Such things as who God is, what He …

They Hate You, I Thought You Should Know.

Posted on January 10, 2022January 9, 2022
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – January 10th, 2022

(Matthew 10:22-25)…..And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. 24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. 25 It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they …

He Speaks To Us Through His Son

Posted on January 6, 2022February 27, 2022
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – January 6th, 2022

God speaks to us loudly through His creation, and in it He reveals His glory and His handiwork (Psalm 19:1-4). It also reveals His eternal power and divine nature (Romans 1:19-20). Through the intelligent design of the universe God says, “I exist!” How well do we listen? Do we take the time to consider the wonders of the creation? The Psalmist took time to contemplate them (Psalm 8:3) (Psalm 104:24-25) (Psalm 139:14). It prompted Einstein to believe in “an Intelligence that produced the integrative complexity of creation.” …

Jesus Is The Friend Of Sinners

Posted on January 5, 2022January 5, 2022
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – January 5th, 2022

(Matthew 11:19)…..”The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, `Look, a gluttonous man and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Jesus had trouble with the religious leaders of His day, because He was a friend of sinners. Jesus is the same today. He never changes. Jesus is your friend.

What does (Luke 19:7) tell us? But when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”

Religious people couldn’t understand how Jesus …

The Tongue Can Be A Very Sharp Sword

Posted on January 4, 2022January 3, 2022
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – January 4th, 2022

(Psalm 57:4-6)…..I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts – men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. 6 They spread a net for my feet – I was bowed down in distress. They dug a pit in my path – but they have fallen into it themselves.

Let’s start this morning by reading in (1 Samuel 16:4-13) (1 Samuel 18:1-16). It …

Truly God Is Good

Posted on January 3, 2022January 2, 2022
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – January 3rd, 2022

We can study the Scriptures and see that God is good, always! His goodness is seen as…….

  1. Abundant – (Exodus 34:6)
  2. Great – (Psalm 31:19)
  3. Lasting – (Psalm 52:1)

Notice, the goodness of God is to such as are pure in heart. Is that you? The word “pure” comes from the word “katharos,” and it carries the idea of being cleansed or purified. Unmixed, as a pure substance, one not mixed with something else like oil and water. Notice the use of the word in (Matthew 23:25-26) (John 15:3)

He Is My Refuge And Fortress

Posted on December 29, 2021December 29, 2021
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – December 29th, 2021

(Psalm 91:1-8)…..He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the …

The Lord Preserves Us!

Posted on December 28, 2021December 27, 2021
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – December 27th, 2021

(Psalm 16:1-6)…..Preserv me, O God, for in You I put my trust. 2 O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” 3 As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” 4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names on my lips. 5 O Lord, You are the portion of …

Merry Christmas

Posted on December 25, 2021December 25, 2021
Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson-December 25th, 2021

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Luke 2:13-14

Today be thinking of how much God gave us in the gift of his Son…..then praise Him for the salvation you have been given in Him.

Merry Christmas!

Why Should We Pray?

Posted on December 23, 2021December 23, 2021
Daily Devotion With Pastor Dan Nickerson – December 23rd, 2021

(John 15:5)…..”I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

This verse has spoken volumes to me in the past years. It became even my go to verse for a year or so, always coming up in my thoughts and conversations. This verse really points people to the importance of prayer, and staying in communications with the Lord. There are three reasons to pray: for God’s benefit, for your benefit, and for …
