It’s Memorial Day! But how many people today know what Memorial Day is all about? I would bet that since correct history is not being taught in our higher educational facilities like it used to be, many people do not understand just what Memorial Day is about.
In May 1868, General John A. Logan, the commander-in-chief of the Union veterans’ group known as the Grand Army of the Republic, issued a decree that May 30 should become a nationwide day of commemoration for the more than 620,000 soldiers killed in the recently ended Civil War. It was …

Luke 6:35-36 NKJ 35 “But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. “Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
Notice in this verse just how good the LORD is, and to whom. He is even kind to the unthankful and the evil. That could be said this way, “The LORD is kind to the wicked, to the sinner. Unfortunately, not many people understand that God is …

The government we have seen in these past few months has exhibited an over reach on the American citizen like I have never seen before. Men and women have dawned a military uniform, and stepped up to serve and or die for their nation and freedoms that seems to be fading by the day. Freedoms I myself believe in that caused me to join the military to do my part to protect. Certainly it can be said that this nation is not the same nation that we grew up in as kids, that I served for. But …

(Psalm 95:1-6 -NASB)…..O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods, in whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are His also. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us worship and bow down, let us …

I have always been amazed of those that God uses to move mountains through their time in prayer. Yet many of these Christians in the body of Christ may never be known by people this side of heaven. They are the saints that are awakened by the Lord to pray intently for anything or anyone that God lays on their heart. They are the ones that can move mountains through prayer, who seem to have the very ear of God. Sometimes they are the silent saints, behind the scenes, petitioning God for great things. They have a …
May 20th, 2020 – Morning Devotion With Pastor Dan
As I write this devotion the thought goes through my mind of how “Good” our God is. I’m sure you know this already, but sometimes it’s just an overwhelming feeling one might get when we are thinking about our Lord. It certainly is a wonderful thing to ponder when everything in the world seems to be falling apart all around us. Anyway, the Lord is a “Good” God.
(Psalm 145:8-9)…..The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, And …

Have you ever heard of people studying the Bible by quickly flipping through the pages with their eyes closed, bringing their finger down on a verse, opening their eyes, and that verse was supposedly their God-given inspiration for the day? That is called, “studying the Bible Columbas Style,” where one searches and lands on a certain verse.
(2 Timothy 2:15)…..Be diligent (“study” in KJV) to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
We need to be careful about …
May 18th, 2020 – Morning Devotion With Pastor Dan
Have you ever just pondered on how great God is? How wonderful He is? Certainly, He is both great and wonderful! Just think of how His greatness has been revealed in His creation. Of the wonders that He does daily in our life. What wonders has He done in your life? Could you list them? How many wonders has the Lord done in our life even in the last week? Do you remember?
The truth is sometimes we find ourselves in a place where we need to remind ourselves of the …
